ARTEMIS ENCOURAGING YOUNG FIRST TIME WRITERS AND ARTISTS
The future of our culture is inseparable from the Arts
Artists and writers are the trailblazers of the human spirit, skillfully charting our inner landscapes and unraveling the intricacies of emotion—feelings molded by the shifting currents of politics, events, and social transformation. Their creations illuminate who we are and how we belong to the world.
To preserve and advance these ideals, we must empower new generations of artists and writers to carry the torch forward.
Nikki Giovanni as our Board Poet, partnered with Artemis Journal to encourage young writers to submit their work to Artemis Journal for publication. The winner received a prime spot in our journal. One of the country’s most prestigious undergraduate literary prizes can by found at Virginia Tech University. The Poetry Prize is oppe to all majors with more than 200 undergraduate poets competing for the first place prize of $1,100.00.
“We who write and we who dream and we who imagine know, that if it wouldn’t be for the poets, there would be no technical.” Nikki Giovanni
In partnership, Artemis Journal proudly publishes the
